The short par 4 gives golfers an option off the tee. The choices are simple: attempt to carry the deep, cavernous bunker on the right for a direct line to the green or play for position, left of the creek. Whichever route is chosen, strike it well.

A beautiful par 3 that requires golfers to settle their nerves before hitting the ball to the green.

Hole 4 | par 5 | 575 yards

The first of the strong par fives at The Harvester, the 4th hole plays through large oaks and over deep valleys. With a good tee ball, the 2nd shot sets up the best approach to the large, punch bowl green.

Hole 5 | par 4 | 370 yards

A great change for a birdie, the mid-length par 4 is wide and inviting off the tee. The approach shot tightens, as the green is well protected by three bunkers on the right. Leaving this hole with a 4 is a must.

Hole 6 | par 5 | 560 yards

From tee to green, the par 5 beckons golfers to go for it all. However, playing for position is a smart option with the green resting beyond the pond. Any score is possible on this exciting hole.

Hole 7 | par 4 | 405 yards

The dogleg right, uphill par 4 sweeps gracefully with the hill slope. The perched green awaits with bunkers both left and right.

Hole 8 | par 3 | 200 yards

The downhill par 3 plays shorter than its length; yet, the bunker short left carefully protects the pins along its edge. The play here is a strong knockdown shot to the large green.

Hole 9 | par 4 | 465 yards

wish and a prayer

The par 4 finishing hole for the front nine requires a well-struck and well-placed tee ball as the lake edge rests on the hole's left. A band of wetland cuts through the hole, which further defines the hitting area. Golfers then will hit a mid iron to the lifted green.

The tenth hole is intended to be an opening, long par four. The tee shot is very wide and forgiving. The green is very receptive to an open approach where you can bunt the ball and roll it onto the surface. Two bunkers are carved into the left hand side, while the green is cut into the existing hillside.

The sickle

The eleventh hole is the architect's favorite hole on the course. The Sickle is a flat piece of ground, surrounded by natural wetlands. It looks rather simple from the tee, but the hole is set up on angles. The green is set in beautifully against the backdrop of the trees. The bunkers are cut well into the slope.

The twelfth hole is a wonderfully natural golf hole. A soft dogleg hight, it plays into a deep punch bowl. The two wonderful oaks on the left-hand side set up the tee ball; the ideal shot is the play just off the trees on the right and get into the bowl. The green is the most severe on the golf course. A three-putt is a very easy occurrence here.

Thistle hill

Thistle Hill is a wonderfully deceptive hole. When you look at the yardage off the tee, these doesn't seem to be much there. The thirteenth is the first hole on the back nine where you lay off the drive and start thinking about position off the tee. Two bunkers protect the right side of the green.

the ridge

The fourteenth hole is a par three that has a very unique feature. There are few par threes that play from two completely different angles. The majority of the front portion of the green is very easy and very forgiving and you can just roll the ball in. There is a unique back pin placement that is actually a lower section.

Hole 15 | par 5 | 650 yards

Big hog

The fifteenth hole is the longest of all holes at The Harvester Tournament Course. It is also uphill all the way from the tee to the green. Big Hog is a hole you cannot wait to finish so that you don't have to play it again. One encouraging point: the fairway is wide and forgiving. Once you get to the green, dig in because its not easy!

the high road

The sixteenth is a longer par four which plays downhill. It has the widest fairway on the course, about 55 to 65 yards. The ground pitches from right to left, and the hole turns from right to left. The ideal line is as close to the left fairway bunker as possible. From that line is the best shot into the green.

The Thresher

The Thresher is intended to be a difficult and exacting par three. The green jets out on a peninsula and is all carry to the green. There is a bail-out area on the left for the faint of heart! Exact yardage is very crucial. The green is perfectly nestled with the stately tree on the top of the hill.

Promised Land

Promised Land is a hard dogleg right par five where a birdie and a possible eagle opportunity is a reality. The safest option on the finishing hole is to play to the middle peninsula with the middle iron and then have a short iron into the green. With water along the entire right side, it is very easy to finish with a double bogie. It is a perfect finish to a great round of golf.
